Comparison of Clinical Manifestations and Risk Factors of Death in Two Age Groups Less and More Than 50 Years in Patients with COVID-19

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has affected more than 180 countries and killed half a million people up to now. Risk factors for death are not yet fully identified. Objectives: present study aimed at comparing the clinical manifestations risk between two groups of patients with aged under above 50 in Qom Province, Iran. Methods: current retrospective cohort was conducted on 178 Province. Patients were followed until recovery or death. source population divided into four groups, which 45 randomly enrolled study. first group included less discharged after recovery; second years who died from COVID-19; third consisted recovery, fourth COVID-19. data, including symptoms presumptive death, collected compared groups. Results: most common hospitalized shortness breath (82.6%), cough (73.6%), fever (71.9%), respectively. In age 50, prevalence recovered subjects higher that ones disease (81.8% Vs. 53.3%). Headache loss senses smell taste also both subjects. had BMI values, but lower BMIs. Conclusions: results showed obesity could be factor 50. indicated extrapulmonary patients.
